Hello, my name is Reihana. I'm back except I'm in grade five. There are some people I need to get used to but thats nothing because already know everyones name. I can't wait to blog away in 2009!

Mr Beiers

Dear Mr Beiers I just wanted to say a lot of thank you's for: leading inter school sports(even though I'm in grade four) , playing the guitar at singing and assembly and being a great, funny teacher to all the classes you have taught. Here is a little something for you.

An Evening With Roald Dahl

Last Wednesday we went to perform on stage at Ormiston collage. We were practising it big time in drama. The whole school is performing a book by Roald Dahl. Our class is doing The Twits. I am a bird along with: Emily, Amy, Amara and Brielle. We waited in a hot room until it was our turn to go on stage. It was excellent and Mr Arnold taped it. I wore material for the wings and and a feather boaaer sewed onto it. For my head piece, I wore a mask and purple feathers in my hair. The birds wore chule skirts and dancing shoes. We danced, and that was the best bit about it. This was the ticket to get in: (top right)

Count us in

Today after lunch, we sang a song called sing sing as a whole school. Lots of schools all around Australia sang it at the same time and the same song. With the help of the band and choir we sang it great excecpt maybe a little louder next time. We sang the chours and one verse along with cool actions. After, the preps did there robot dance-they were so cute! We did our irsh dance next. Amy mucked up at one bit. I started dancing with Brielle and as we moved on I danced with two boys-Jacob and Riley and I kept sliding and finished up with Chloe.

Underwater Water world Camp Trip

On Monday the 4th of August 4/5J went on camp to Underwater world. The good thing is that we got to sleep there under he tunnel. I stared there looking up at the fish and it made me sleepy. A lot of people said they couldn't get to sleep but Idon't know why. For tea we had friesburger and , for breakfast there was yoghurt, fruit salad, cereal and to finish off some toast. For supper we had milo and a choc chip biscuit it was yummy! We got to feed the sharks with a prawn (they were stinky). There were seals, fishes, sting rays and more.

On Thursday

On Thursday I will be having my parent, teacher, child interview. It is not like any other because I will be doing most of the talking and my teacher, Mrs J will be just siting there. I'v never had any interview like this before and I'm very excited! Does your class have speacal interviews? I have a few sheets of work to show Mum and Dad and a couple of things to say about them.

Sports Carnival

Tomorrow we are going to another school for a sports carnival. there are three colors which are red,gold and blue. I'm in gold and my family are coming as well. They are going to wear gold clothes and my two year old sister is wearing a gold
T-shirt with two doggies on it, my foot is sore and I might need to wrap it up though. One of the cheer songs are: Extra extra read all about it. Golds going to win and theres no dout about it. Where rough and where tough and where hard to beat so come on gold lets move those feet gooooo gold!!!!!

Drama

On Thursday we do drama. At drama we play games and do miming its heeps of fun. Our teachers name is Mrs V and she's really good at drama. The games we play are fun but I don't know the names of them all. We make up movies with up to four poeple and the last movie we made was about two brothers or two sisters or one brother and one sister. my partner was a girl named Amara and I stole a doll and her homework. It was kind of embarrasing doing it in front of the class thats why I was smiling when the teacher called my name.

music

At school I do music and at music sometimes we learn new songs practise the beat and write things down in our books.I enjoy doing it.and now I will sing one of my songs to you its called hey Johnie and it goes like this: hey Johnie you want to pick a fight? meet me at the corner on a saturday night. you can wibble you can wobble you can do the twist.but I bet you I bet you, you can't do this: and you would do something and the other person would coppie you.Its heaps of fun and I only learnt it today.
